Medium light in value, Ship Rock is an opaque, very warm gray able to impart a subtle shade to lighter opaque colors and whites.
Richly pigmented, yet softly natural, Ship Rock can easily tone down and push back the brightest Cadmiums as it adds warmth. Imaged here at center is Ship Rock, mixing with Mars Yellow on the left and then blending into French Anthracite Gray at right. Some Titanium White has been added along the bottom of the resulting mixtures.
